Innovate SA and The Executive Connection are providing entrepreneurial growth and leadership support opportunities for South Australian business.
With some common business objectives of building greater entrepreneurial skills and stimulating innovative thinking in CEOs and business owners, TEC and Innovate SA have the ability to work closely together to stimulate growth in South Australian SMEs.
As an independent organisation funded through the South Australian Government, Innovate SA is tasked to support enterprise growth by providing a range of unique entrepreneurial skills development services and programs to assist CEOs, executives and business owners to acquire the skills they need to succeed and achieve sustainable business growth in national and export markets.
Innovate SA's unique range of services is targeted to:
- Early stage and mature businesses wanting to attract investment
- Early stage businesses with innovative products or services on a growth path
- Mature and transforming businesses looking to ensure sustainability
In addition, Innovate SA provides a one-stop-shop and reference point for SA companies seeking advice, linkages and referrals to business growth initiatives on offer through the South Australian and federal governments and through other key stakeholders and members of the South Australian Innovation ecosystem.
Through a close association with TEC that has evolved over several years, Innovate SA can provide its clients with the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and leadership skills through involvement in TEC, the bonus of this association being a supportive and often much needed 'extension environment' of peer to peer exchange and support, to address the issues and challenges that CEOs face leading their companies to excellence.
Innovate SA and TEC already share a significant number of mutual clients in South Australia including Solar Shop, Kelly Engineering, Beerenberg, Torque Industries and Ferguson Australia. Throughout 2011 both organisations will continue to collaborate to provide case study examples and media stories which highlight the benefits to some of these companies through their involvement in TEC and with Innovate SA in driving their business to success as well as other projects that meet the mutual objectives of both organisations.
TEC and Innovate SA helped Lonsdale plastic pipe maker, Copeland Industries, reinvent its business to widen its customer base into the agricultural, construction and mining sectors. Story as featured in AdelaideNow.
