This role included managing radiology practices throughout NSW, during a time of significant change in the industry, including corporatisation, implementation of IT solutions (e.g. teleradiology) and rapid technological advances.

Previously, Alice worked at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney, for a period of 12 years. Initially she was Director of Medical Services and then for seven years, she was CEO and Director of Medical Services. She was responsible for a budget in excess of $70 million with 900 staff (450 FTE), 500 visiting doctors, and 200 volunteers. During this time, the Hospital went through a major redevelopment, rebranding, expansion of services and then the merger with St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst.

Prior to working at the Mater, Alice worked in Boston as a consultant to a firm of Health Economists and as Research Associate in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Harvard School of Public Health. Alice's early career was as a Medical Practitioner, completing over three years as a resident doctor at Sydney & St Luke's Hospitals.

Alice is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and during her career she has served on a number of Boards of Hospitals and Industry Associations.

Alice became Chair of TECR 205 in 2009.
