Career & Achievements: Phil spent his
entire career in the Information Communications Technology (ICT)
industry, both in Australia and overseas. He carried out executive
roles across the full spectrum of ICT activities, including general
management, sales and marketing, outsourcing and professional
services.
Phil has 15 years experience as a chief executive of multinational
organizations, most recently with Fujitsu, and with AT&T
EasyLink, Data General and Wang.
Additionally he was the founding CEO of a successful start-up public company, QuikTrak Networks Limited. He was a founding Principal of McLean Kerrigan Jackson, a company formed in April 2003 to provide highly personalized executive search and support services to company boards and management teams, particularly in the technology field.
He is a former Chairperson of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), Director of the Federal Government sponsored IT&T Skills Hub. Phil also held IT advisory roles with the New South Wales and Victorian State Governments.
His past roles have given him extensive business experience across Asia Pacific, particularly in Japan.
In addition, Phil has built several highly successful management teams and similarly has managed outstanding sales organisations; Phil is a frequent presenter at major industry seminars.
Previously a TEC member, Phil became Chair of TEC 19 in 2005 and KEY 108 in 2008.
Personal: Personal interests include sea-kayaking, fishing, bushwalking, reading and music.
