Rob McComb is best described as a developer of people and businesses. He has more than 25 years experience as a CEO, mostly in companies where he has also held significant shareholding.
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) degree at UNSW he commenced his career with Shell Australia and, in the following eleven years, progressed to senior management roles in retail sales/marketing, business planning and retail network development.
In 1984 Rob left the corporate scene to found his own IT company and, as CEO, built the business from start-up to a profitable systems and services operation representing major vendors including IBM, Apple, HP and NEC. After selling this business Rob, became Head of Marketing in a multinational IT reseller group and then moved on to become co-founder of a successful national IT financing company.
Rob established a management consulting practice in 1990 and then acquired Macquarie Franchise Systems; the net result was a multi-disciplinary consulting firm focused on providing advisory and business development services to the franchising, marketing and distribution sectors. As Managing Director and Principal Consultant, Rob leads a professional team and consults with major corporate and SME clients in a wide array of industries.
Over the past twenty years Rob has been personally engaged in management consultancy across Australia; as well as in South-East Asia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, North America and New Zealand.
Rob's interests include people, tennis, boating and music. Since 2004 he has facilitated a DivorceCare program in Sydney.
