Biography:
Following a successful sales and marketing career in the United Kingdom with Aspro Nicholas, British Tissues and Morgan Crucible, Will immigrated to Australia in 1978.
He joined Morganite Australia (a Morgan Crucible subsidiary) as Managing Director of Rocol Advanced Lubricants Pty Ltd. and over the ensuing seven years took the business from scratch to one of the most profitable in the Group.
In 1986 he joined Hunter Douglas Ltd as Franchise General Manager. Four years later Will became General Manager for Independent as well as Franchised business, a position he held until 1992 when he was elevated to the position of Group Marketing and Technical Services Manager.
Will was a TEC Chair between 1996 and 2006 and in that time was awarded New Chairman of the Year in 1997 and Chairman of the Year in 1999. Will became Chair of TPP 2 in 2009.
Outside of TEC he is the Managing Director of Talented People (Sydney) Pty Ltd, a performance management organisation, which specialises in behavioural selection and coaching.
Will is an engineer by discipline and a marketer by choice. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 1976 and his leisure interests include sailing, gardening, psychology and natural history. His most admired hero is Charles Darwin (for thinking outside of the square) and the person he most envies is Sir David Attenborough (for being paid for what he does).
