Early in his career Tim spent over 22 years in various divisions of the CSR Group. His CSR experience covered various management roles in the Building Materials and Sugar Divisions, such as State Manager in Western Australia and Victoria for Bradford Insulation and State Manager Sugar Division and Corporate Representative in WA.
These early Bradford roles covered financial management, industrial relations, sales and contracting services, manufacturing, construction of new manufacturing plants and strategic planning. The latter corporate role covered external stakeholder relationships in areas such as Government, both political and bureaucracy, industry associations, unions and public relations. It also covered Board appointments to Group Subsidiaries and joint venture companies.
After a short term as General Manager Special Projects with the Universal Waldeck Group in the mid-80's, Tim joined the Snap Printing Group in 1988 as CEO and Director. Over the ensuing 13 years he led that group to profitable expansion to over 140 franchised printing centres in 4 countries, turning over $150m in sales and winning the Franchisor of the Year Award four times.
An area in which Tim became very involved was that of mentoring franchisees in developing their businesses to maximise ongoing viability and subsequent exit strategies.During this period, he was also on the Board of the Franchise Association of Australia for 7 years and was invited by the Federal government to advise them relative to the Code of Conduct for Franchising.
In 2001, Tim formed his franchise consulting business (Franchising Solutions) which also undertakes coaching and mentoring services, mediation services and workshop facilitations. He is a panel member of several Industry Codes and a Member of the ACCC Franchise Consultative Committee.
He is also a non executive Director of publicly listed Joyce Corporation Ltd, non executive Chairman of Co-operative Purchasing Services Limited and a Board Member of Lifeline WA.
Tim started TEC-47 in 2004.

Tim gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting Major) from the University of WA and is a Fellow Member of the Australian Institute of Management (Life Member) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a former Fellow Member of CPA Australia.
He has completed the Company Directors Course of the AICD
He has completed a formal Mediation Course, an Advanced Mediation Programme and is an Accredited Mediator
His interests include tennis, golf, family and seeing more of Australia and New Zealand via 4WD.
He is married to Libby and has two adult children and 2 grandchildren.
