all tec day 2010
Speaker Videos, Recordings and Summary Takeaways
They say the best way to learn is through the lessons of others. This maxim shaped the concept of TEC's 2010 Australian & New Zealand All TEC Day events. Across six cities in two countries over two weeks, more than 1,000 senior business leaders attended the annual full-day member events.
With a twist on the tradition TEC meeting format, members had the opportunity to hear, on a much larger scale, the battles from the trenches of their peers in the broader TEC community; from personal struggles, to tough decisions made in an uncertain economy, to starting up a company in a tough industry, to successfully battling with the retail big players for market share.
Woven throughout these presentations were a few reoccurring themes. The importance of having the right culture for the business and the environment that the business operates in; getting your and your business' 'why' articulated; and that it is OK to admit mistakes, as long as you leverage off the lessons taught during the experience.
