South Australian senior management professionals will be
able to gain access to the new ideas and fresh thinking from
international peer support group, The Executive Connection, after
registering their interest in attending a complimentary KEY
Executive Leadership Forum to be held on 26 November.
Traditionally only available only to companies whose senior
executives are TEC members, the KEY Executive Program will now open
its doors to senior managers in non-TEC member companies.
Due to popular demand from existing members, The Executive
Connection is offering access to non-member companies with a view
to starting a new KEY Executive group in December 2010.
Former Chief Executive and TEC Chair, Keith Brooks, is pioneering
the pilot program.
"Fresh thinking and actionable knowledge can be vital resources
for business executives looking for strategic planning and
direction to keep their company moving forward," Keith says.
"With this new KEY group we are in a position to not just help
chief executives become better leaders but to also enhance the
personal and professional development of senior managers.
"This will significantly contribute to their company's success and
better position them for their next role as business leader."
Managed by a TEC Chair with broad experience and the ability to
act as coach and mentor, the new KEY group will follow the same
three-pronged approach as the original TEC group and the KEY
Executive program for TEC member companies.
Members meet once a month with up to 18 senior executives from
non-competing businesses to experience a half-day hands-on workshop
with an esteemed TEC speaker.
In the afternoon this is followed by an Executive Session where
members use peer support to address business challenges.
In a separate session members can elect to meet with their TEC
Chairs for a monthly one-to-one review where key issues and
opportunities are discussed in depth in a confidential
setting.
An original KEY member three years ago, Justin Kahl, General
Manager of Sage Automation recently graduated to a full-fledged TEC
group. The CEO he reports to is in another TEC group and he has
placed one of his managers in the same Key group he started
in.
"I believe TEC has played a large part in my development as a
manager. Now I am looking forward to further developing myself and
leveraging the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists
within the members of the group," Justin says.
"I have found that the TEC environment has brought a different
dimension to our business. We all share common experiences and
ideas from our respective groups and sharing a common theme of
driving change
through the business."
The KEY Executive Leadership Forum will provide interested senior
managers an insight into the TEC offering. A presentation from
world-experienced National Director of Digital Media for PPR, Dena
Vassallo, will provide guests with insights and hands-on tips to
harness the power of social media for business enterprise.
Guests will also have the chance to hear from and meet with
existing KEY Executive members and TEC Chairs.
"This program offers members unparalleled opportunities to
challenge their performance in their existing roles whilst
preparing them to take on additional responsibilities," Keith
Brooks says.
