2010/12 - TEC Expansion in New Zealand
More Executives Connecting in New Zealand
December 9, 2010
With more organisations in New Zealand focused on ramping up
growth in the coming year as the economy stabilises, many are
turning to The Executive Connection (TEC) for the fresh ideas and
support which will give their businesses the edge. In response, two
energetic and inspirational women are joining the ranks of the TEC
team in New Zealand to help drive an expansion in this market.
Dr Claire McGowan joins TEC with a focus on business
development. Her background as a CEO in a number of organisations,
specialising in entrepreneurial ventures, leadership roles in
start-ups and working with training / business judging and her most
recent involvement in the Escalator Programme, puts her in a
perfect position to assess businesses that would be right for The
Executive Connection and advise them on how they could maximise the
value of their membership.
Nancy Manning brings years of global corporate experience in the
FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries, with more recent experience in
Retailing, to the table. Also with a focus on business development,
Nancy will work alongside Claire, helping New Zealand CEOs to
understand how TEC could benefit them and their businesses.
Dr McGowan and Ms Manning are excited at the opportunities that
they have to help build a robust New Zealand business
community.
"TEC provides its members with the information, resources, and
support that business leaders need at the top", Ms Manning
informed.
"It is by no means a walk in the park however", adds Dr McGowan,
"Business leaders are held strictly accountable by their fellow
group members and TEC Chair to make sure they make the business
improvements they said they were going to".
TEC provides senior and chief executives access to new ideas and
fresh thinking through monthly peer mentoring think-tanks,
one-to-one business coaching and speaker presentations from top
industry experts. Members also have the ability to network with
other national and international members and have access to a
robust online best practice library.
